Shipping & Returns

Ritual Shipping

Every acquisition leaves this house within 48 hours of the covenant being sealed, packed in its lacquered case and outer archival carton. All crossings are insured for full value and tracked door to door; the tracking seal is sent to your email the moment the couriers take possession.

  • Flat rate, worldwide — $25
  • Waived on covenants above $300
  • North America 3–6 business days · Europe 5–10 · Japan & elsewhere 6–12
  • Customs duties and import formalities at your border are the recipient’s to keep, as the old traders would say

Materials & Customs

Materials are declared plainly on every listing and on every customs form — silver, woods, stone, handmade papers, and in certain pieces horn from fallen working animals. Where a destination restricts a material, we will contact you before dispatch rather than gamble your acquisition at a border.

The Right of Return

You hold 30 days from arrival to return any object, for any reason, for a full refund of the object’s price. Two conditions, both of which the traditions themselves impose:

  • ✕  Objects whose seals or bindings have been opened cannot return — the Takrut’s rolled word, the Union Piece’s cinnabar thread, the Devourer’s scroll. An opened seal is spent, and we will not resell a spent instrument to another patron.
  • ✕  The object must travel home in its lacquered case with its lineage scroll; they are part of the work.

To begin a return, reply to your order correspondence or write to curators@byebye.works with your order number. Return postage is yours; the refund is issued within 5 business days of the object passing inspection. Where an object arrives damaged from its crossing, photograph the carton and the piece before anything else — the insurance answers for the road, and a replacement or full refund (shipping included) follows without argument.

The Unique Pieces

Objects that exist singly — the “Two Shamans” Union Piece among them — are sold once and remade never. The 30-day right of return applies to them as to everything else, but once such a piece is returned and resold, no second chance at it will exist. Acquire deliberately.
